1. When Special Orders Are Required
Shared Definitions
- Special Order
- A part, component or service that is not held as ordinary stock by Lightning Tech and must be ordered specifically for a Customer's Device or Repair.
- Replacement Part
- A part or component supplied or installed by Lightning Tech, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, camera lenses, back glass, speakers, housings, frames, flex cables, seals, adhesives and other components.
- Quotation
- A price that Lightning Tech has expressly confirmed as the price for specified repair work, subject to the applicable legal documents and any later approved variation.
A Special Order may be required for non-stock, model-specific, colour-specific, supplier-specific, high-cost or uncommon parts.
2. Deposits
Lightning Tech may require a deposit before ordering a Special Order part. The deposit amount, usually 50% unless otherwise stated, is applied toward the final invoice balance.
3. Lead Times
Special Order lead times are estimates only and may be affected by supplier stock, courier delays, public holidays, shipping disruptions and Force Majeure Events.
4. Cancellation
Cancellation and refund handling for Special Orders will depend on whether the part has already been ordered, whether it can be returned to the supplier and any applicable ACL rights.
