Shared Definitions
- Estimate
- An indicative price, time, availability, travel fee or service expectation given before all relevant factors are known.
- Quotation
- A price that Lightning Tech has expressly confirmed as the price for specified repair work, subject to the applicable legal documents and any later approved variation.
- Repair
- Repair, replacement, installation, restoration, fitting, adjustment, testing, cleaning or associated technical work performed on a Device.
Instant quote prices are estimates based on selected model, repair type, part grade, add-ons and service type. They are not a final diagnosis.
2. Why Prices May Change
- The selected model or repair option is incorrect.
- Additional faults are discovered after inspection.
- The Device has liquid damage, frame damage or previous repair damage.
- The selected part is unavailable or requires supplier confirmation.
When Lightning Tech corrects job details in its job management system, the estimate may be recalculated from the current catalogue. Any increased total or materially changed repair scope remains subject to Customer approval before the additional chargeable work proceeds.
3. Approval Before Extra Work
Lightning Tech will seek approval before performing additional chargeable work wherever reasonably practicable.
